In reviewing a device like this there is usually some pretty firm division within the community. Some swear by el cheapo IR guns and call this a superfluous and wasteful expenditure simply because there is no law that says this is any more accurate due to the nature of it being non-contact. I'm well aware of how much IR guns cost but I don't want to be Rick Allen from when the heating process starts until I'm done with the dab. Like if my favorite rig (functionally) were one of the ones that tip over once you put the banger in, I'd pay what one of these costs to have a boro frisbee welded to the bottom for a base, **** aesthetics. If you want to accomplish what this does operationally, then there's really only one competitor and it's about the same price. If you have to put your rig on top of a wooden box so it's the right distance from the sensor, well right back to tipover hazard with regard to that competing device.
